JS3 Kit Graphics: Reduce selectable area for Kick

In the Jamstix 3 Kit graphics, is there away to decrease the amount of area where i can select the kick.

It's difficult to select toms 1 and 2 because the 26" kick overlaps them and takes selection precedence over the toms whether they are on top or not. There's probably about a space of 5 pixels where I can select Tom 1. There's more with Tom 2 but still too little.

There's way too much selectable area for the kick.
