Any development for Jamstix on Mac?

Post by plectrum_boy »

Hello all,

When 4.4.3 beta works, it's fabulous. Even though it's much more of a resource hog than Superior Drummer 3 or BFD 3.

The world is going through some strange times at the moment. How are things for your Ray and the Jamstix team? Are you able to say how things are for the Mac version of Jamstix?

Stay safe and well.

Steve.

Okay, thanks Ralph. Without wanting to ask unanswerable questions, do you have a timeframe in mind in terms of the Mac beta version?

Regards,

Steve

I'm not sure if this is pointing out to me that there is already a Mac beta version, or a dig at Ray that it's been in beta since December 2018.

Well, it seems future Macs will be ARM-based, like iOS. There are evidently developer materials being made available now, or soon.

Can Rayzoon start early, please? Seems to take forever and then some :-(

On an unrelated note, the newest Jamstix-4 beta didn't load in Logic Pro for me on a system that I've kept at an old OS revision for ages now. On the other hand, the Logic Drummer loaded fine, and that's what I've been using while waiting (and waiting &c) for a stable version of the goodness that is Jamstix...

Ray, Jamstix is a phenomenal programme and I love it. Best wishes and good luck in keeping it going.

All the best,

Steve.
