Great to see that the project is still active! In light of this, I would like to raise the question of a native Linux build once more.
Unfortunately, compatibility layers like Wine + yabridge/LinVst are far from ideal and lack the stability required for a professional workflow. Personally, alongside a good portion of the community, I would be incredibly happy to see native Linux support in the future. Having this port on your roadmap would be fantastic.

Re: JamStix on Linux
I hear you but unfortunately cannot make any promises for a Linux port.
Jamstix is written in Delphi, not C++, so cross-platform stuff is difficult and we've had bad experiences with the macOS development.
Focus right now is to get VST3 done and develop Jamstix 5 for PC.

Well... I think I now understand the scale of the problem. It definitely feels like a cold shower, to be honest.
It seems my best option now is to set up a second Windows machine and use AudioGridder. JamStix is definitely worth it!
If you ever decide to give a Linux port a shot in the future, you’ve definitely got a beta tester right here.
Best of luck with your work, and I'm really glad to see you back in active development!

Ditto on offering myself as a beta tested on Linux. I couldn't get it working in yabridge without serious graphics problems and it's the only thing stopping me from using it all the time in my songs.

One suggestion in place of an official Linux native version... Could you work on getting Jamstix 5 working with yabridge as a kind of "halfway house"?

I'll keep that in mind but can't make any promises, especially if its due to graphics-related issues.22electrodes wrote: Wed Jun 17, 2026 10:39 am Could you work on getting Jamstix 5 working with yabridge as a kind of "halfway house"?
