Priority Crash Override

Post by sonicviz »

I have a style from a groove, and have redirected all to toms for a tom groove.
One of the RH toms has a red X on it and
says "Tom 5 Center xxx [groove] Priority override by crash 2" but I want to get rid of the crash and just have a pure tom groove to play around with.

How can I disbale the override? I don't see any obvious settings?

I'm using a BonoPak Mallets Big kit, which only has 4 toms, so I guess this may be the reason. If so, why doesn't the redirect just work on all available toms not a standard 5 tom kit (ie: work off the kit not the program).

You need to identify the brain element that creates those hits (i.e. Kick, Snare or Hihat) and then left-click on the brain element name, enable 'Priority' and set it way left (lower number) so it will override the crash.

I have a similar problem, please help.
Don't know how to identify the brain element who created Crash hit. I suppose it is the Hi-Hat in my case because of RH line. I have decreased Priority to the lowest value but Crash hit is still there. What I'm doing wrong?

I believe (if I remember correctly) that the yellow block means it was created by the "end fill with a crash" check box. Try unchecking that.

It is already unchecked (on the Fill page), "Start crash" checkbox too.

For THAT bar or the PREVIOUS bar?
It may need a recompose to clear it.
If that’s not it then i’m sorry but I don’t know.

Can you do a 'Save Song' in the song menu and send me the file?
