Hi, I'm attempting to upgrade to Jamstix 3.5.
Installation goes smoothly until I install the paks via the interface.
After the paks are selected and the install button pressed, I receive an error message for each pak along the lines of:
Installation error: cannot create file "C:\Program Files (x86)\jamstix3\data\sounds\14" Ludwig Suprahonic.bmp" Access is denied. Please contact Rayzoon support for help.
Help, as always, much appreciated.

by chance do you still have the 32 bit version of jamstix open in that project? if so make sure you close the 32 bit version because it may be locking up those files. as a last resort you may try uninstalling every thing of jamstix and then only installing the 64 bit version

Sounds like access rights issue. Run the host via right-click->Run As Admin for the Pak install.

Jamstix 3.5 pak files installation error
I just thought I would add to this in case anyone else finds this thread while looking for help...
I just bought a new Windows 8 machine and had the issue of Access Denied while installing the .paks. I tried running the host (Cubase 6.5) as an administrator but when I opened jamstix within Cubase, the GUI was blank, so this solution did not work for me.
However...
I then found a solution in the Jamstix 3 FAQ thread here, which was to edit the folder permissions (btw, I gave permission to myself, as a user, which worked fine, as opposed to giving permission to "everyone")
