hi
are we going to see any updates or fixes for JS4 - I've been stumbling on with v4.4.6 for many months but these 'bugs' are pretty painful.

I see other people report issues and logs get sent but updates don't seem to occur.
Totally understand that some people have ZERO issues but there are some that do and would love fixes. Think it's been about 10 months since the last (minor) update.

We will definitely have at least one free update coming this year.

that's great - it's just a bit frustrating waiting for so long for fixes.Ralph [RZ] wrote:We will definitely have at least one free update coming this year.

That is why Jamstix is the best drum VST there is; what other developer personally chimes in to give an update announcement!Ralph [RZ] wrote:We will definitely have at least one free update coming this year.
Thanks Rayzoon and Ralph!!

If I'm honest I'd rather have fixes and updates than forum posts - I'm not sure that there is much development/bug fixing work going on.

I can assure you that development is ongoing with Jamstix. It is a very small company. I think Ralph is the primary person in charge, and the brain behind JS4. I think right now he is working on the Mac version that the Mac people have been waiting for.o_range wrote:If I'm honest I'd rather have fixes and updates than forum posts - I'm not sure that there is much development/bug fixing work going on.
If I find a bug that's a show stopper, I come here report, and then I will find a workaround. If not I can come here and ask for help.
JS is worth it. There is no other program out there like it. Closest thing to a real drummer.

I'm not disputing the potential of Jamstix - and I agree there's nothing else like it - and I also suspect Ralph is the only developer ?Grem_Songs wrote: I can assure you that development is ongoing with Jamstix. The mac version has been in beta for a long long time - no updates to that for nearly a year ! And no bug fixes or updates for the windows version since last October, which is also nearly a year. That's a long time to wait for fixes and improvements IMO.
As I say, I'm a jamstix fan - and I have everything apart from flamenco and udar utar...I've voted with my $$$. Just frustrated by the lack of urgency fixing bugs.
In a wider sense I think that's many people's impressions of JS - even if it's not strictly true - when I did the research before buying it seems most said "nice idea but buggy and underdeveloped" and that reputation is hard to fix
again just my opinion and frustration talking
