Hello, I'm dusting off my version 3. I have addictive drums running in a separate track. How do I set the mapping in jamstix so the key map is correct. I did this a while ago, but I can not find the dialogue.

Hi,

Load the Addictive Drums AD Jamstix Kit when building your song or load it in the Kit window if you've already created your song.

I am running reaper for daw. Addictive drums are in a separate track. On the addictive drums track, I have midi in configured to receive jamstix midi. All is good and mapped except for snare. I know there was a dialogue or check box in jamstix 3 to send midi in a particular format ie steven slate, addictive drums etc. I have a screen shot but can't figure out how to attach in this form. Do you know where in jamstix to say send midi in a addictive drums format?

It has been a while since I used JS3 but loading the AD kit should automatically send all midi out of JS3 properly formated for AD. The only time I remember having to choose a format manually was the midi import dialog as shown on pg.52 of the JS3 manual. I believe I still have JS3 loaded on my studio rig and will check later when I have access to it.

The easiest way to set this up in Reaper imo is in a new blank project. Right click in the Track Pane and choose "Insert virtual instrument on new track" and choose AD. Accept the routing Reaper offers by clicking OK. Now that AD is loaded and routed properly, in the track containing AD open the FX window and add JS3 BEFORE AD. (click and drag JS3 to move it before AD in the list) Now in JS3 load the Addictive Drums>AD Jamstix kit and everything should be ready to go. Then save it as a Project Template and set it as your default. If you know all of this already disregard, just trying to offer helpful tips.
