Oh Susanna - with japanese shamisen and italian mandolin

Post by bosone »

Hi!
I just finished to record my version of "Oh Susanna", the old folk american song.
My version includes a japanese shamisen (which has a timbre so similar to a banjo!) and italian mandolin. I had fun also with an harmonica, guitar, bass and Native Instruments Studio Drummer 60s played by Jamstix with country / trainbeat and Aaron.

as usual jamstix worked really great! :)

This video is somewhat a sequel to my "Around the world in 80 instruments" project:

Nice! I love the shamisen! Enjoyed some of your other videos around the world in 80 instruments too!

I was thinking of using Studio Drummer, but have been using Steven Slate 4 as the samples for JS. I just didn't want to learn another piece of software so I haven't messed with it yet.

Thanks.

thanks for watching!

I understand your choice of staying with Steven Slate 4. not because i think it's better than studio drummer... it does not matter... but because I also enjoy more making music than learning a new software! :D
