Similar thing in Cubase 7... and I wonder if it has something to do with my above post? My old .DLL and this new one have different names so by simply copying the new file into the VST folder I of course end up with two .dll files.

and if I remove the old .dll Cubase then it loads an existing project ok... but it can't find the plugin 'jamstix35.dll' (Jamstix 3.5) . I can however then load in this new .dll which presents as Jamstix 3, not Jamstix 3.5. When loaded it is however the latest 3.51 beta, BUT my song is lost ...

Sherz: please send me rzdlog.txt from Documents\Jamstix3.
'jamstix35.dll' is a pre-release Beta version of JS3.5 that you can delete.

Hi Ralph,
Things are OK for now . I've managed to restore myself back to an older beta... but I do have to retain the obsolete 'jamstix35.dll' until I have chance to go through numerous projects and save their song files from within JS.
The reason being is that all these projects look for the above plugin. If it's replaced with the newer 'jamstix3.dll' JS of course doesn't load in these projects - 'missing plugin'. If I then subsequently load JS using the new .dll it of course loads as a blank song. This isn't a problem for projects where I have previously saved a .j2d file, I can then simply load in the song and I'm back in business. But there's many projects where I haven't created a .j2d... yet.
Cheers,

...however, there is one very persistent problem I have had throughout these betas. The auto-recompose doesn't appear to work for fills. I can SEE the recompose happen in the bar editor after adjusting one of the controls... but what I hear is the original fill being played. I'm a bit puzzled by this....

We're still trying to work out issues that certain users are having. Can you email me what problems you are seeing specifically, along with Documents\Jamstix3\rzdlog.txt?

Use case:
Midi import of a 13 bar groove
played through, saves externally as midi ok
Tried saving as a style, would only let me select maximum of 8, then threw an error saying index out of bounds(13)

Hi Ralph-
Can you update the first post in this thread and let us know the latest for the 3.5.1 Beta? The last update on that post was "Changes From Jamstix 3.5.0 Beta 3" and we're now on Beta 8, I think, so I'm totally lost at this point. Is the last manual still the one from last November?
There are still people (including me) who are hoping to get the drag 'n drop from Jamstix to the host feature back, as well as the import MIDI/personalize from the drummer back. Sometime soon, I hope!
Thanks-
-Susan

Problem here with 3.5.1 Beta 8 x64/x32 running Win 8 x64 on 2 machines.
Samplitude ProX and SawStudio on both machines the "Bars/Repeats/Time Signature" Dialog Box has only partial display of the "Repeats" text. It looks like the text breaks and wraps to a new line and displays the middle. The input box displays properly
Samplitude ProX
In the dialog box for song structure the cursor position does not match up with typing-it is a couple of characters off.
SAWStudio is OK as it directly enters the song structure into the wizard display window and does not use the Dialog Box
My guess is probably only a system font change is moving the text position

Are you using a non-standard font DPI setting in Windows?
