Good catch, that was it here too.Open_Mind wrote:I noticed the same and found out that the installer didn't put the new jamstix3.dll in the vstplugins folder. Just want to see if this is my prob..
System: Dell Studio Laptop 64 bit Windows 7
DAW: Sonar 8.5 (latest patch)
Set a new part time sig to 7/4
Time signature changes are enabled in JS
click on the new part, and look at the time sig display in JS... it displays 6/4
I try to change the 6 to a 7, but it won't let me until I change the 4 to an 8.
play the part, and it immediately reverts to 6/4.
I submitted as a bug, I just wanted to see if it was happening to anyone else.
Thanks!

The change to Double Bass is working pretty well, Ralph - thanks for that. One small bug though:
If I program a sixteenth gallop (K KKS KKK KKS KK) with Custom Metal, the clusters all start on the left foot. Since there's a two-note cluster at the end of the bar, and the single kick at the beginning is always played by RF, looping the pattern from one bar to the next puts two RF hits together, and the brain softens the second accordingly.
Is there any reason not to have Double Bass start all clusters on the right foot? Or, if you felt like getting fancy, arrange any clusters that touch the end of a bar so that they always end on LF, thereby avoiding any possibility for a repeated limb no matter how long the last cluster is?
On a completely unrelated issue, I'm noticing a lot of "gibberish" notes being added when my patterns are composed - they show up in the editor, but aren't played (JS plays the bar correctly), and disappear if I click anywhere in the bar editor.

Those are the new notes writing over the old notes (just cosmetic). This will be changed in the final release.Loka_senna wrote: On a completely unrelated issue, I'm noticing a lot of "gibberish" notes being added when my patterns are composed - they show up in the editor, but aren't played (JS plays the bar correctly), and disappear if I click anywhere in the bar editor.

Hi Ralph
As the Live loop toggle doesn't appear to work correctly in Ableton LIve as yet, is there any way of getting it when in LL mode to default to the orange mode rather than the blue. I did this in beta 12 by altering a line in the ini file and was happy with the result (for my way of using JS live) however this hasn't worked since beta 12.
I'm now having to record the audio output of JS parts into slots in Live and then looping them - so not actually using JS in a live situation and therefore haven't got the wonderfull flexibility of the JS program.

We'll look deeper into the LL Live issue but may have to wait until release since we're losing too much time as it is. As you know, we always deliver multiple free updates after release so we will have time to improve this specific area.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
I fully understand that that this is only a minor issue and that you must have many more pressing issues to deal with before JS3 goes for full release.
Very happy to wait

Hi-
Is anyone else having trouble with this (Beta A15)? It doesn't seem to work consistently. I can usually solo instruments, but often when I try to mute one using Shift+click it gets soloed instead, or nothing happens. I don't have an exact recipe yet.
Thanks-
-Susan

Same here, the newer dll did not overwrite the older dll. I've never had that problem before, even though the exe knew the path of my vstplugins folder when I ran the installer. This is Win 7, maybe I should have run it "as Administrator"??
But now my Wavelab won't run because it keeps telling me that Jamstix is expired and needs to be updated, then it finishes scanning the plugins and crashes. Never had that before either.....
But I've been looking for a good excuse to get rid of Wavelab..... it's the last thing in my house that says "Steinberg" on it, and I wouldn't mind getting rid of it.

Mine definitely shows as Beta 15, but solo/mute is not consistent. Even once I get Mute working, for example, the instrument doesn't stay muted. I'll try to come up with a good recipe tonight or tomorrow.Susan G wrote:Hi-
