Hang in there, friends. As soon as we have ironclad features, screenshots etc., I'll share them with you.

Same here.. Checking back regularly.. Would even be satisfied with a time plan, when screenshots/features will be available
Heard a lot about an easy mode - which probably would be perfect for me, as my nickname suggests..
I am no js user yet, so I probably don't count, though

Hi Chris
I agree that an 'easy mode' would be valuable - especially when you see what Logic and Garageband did in this space.
Either way, however, I'm no expert at driving JS and I still get incredible results, WAY beyond what Logic can give me. That said, when I'm sketching out a new track, it's often Logic's drummer that I use initially.

Thanks for giving me hope
I tried the trial version and did not get any satisfying result - but that is for sure because I am too stupid and not because the program would not be able to do it.
Therefore I did not buy the full version...
I still have hope, that an easy mode would give me an easy start with usable results, that I can lift to better result with spending some time.
However it looks strange to me, that all these cool projects like kemper or jamstix never manage to stick to their own timeline..
They all seem to be very innovative and creative guys, living and loving their job, buy it seems to me, they have no idea from a decent project management...
Jamstix 4 was already announced for I think August 14. So it's one year overdue. Same with several things from kemper (especially the remote, which finally of on the market now after x years of developing).
I don't have pressure, so I can wait and I know, that products from such kindof developers are just great in the end. So I also prefer to wait over getting a blinking line 6 product with bugs and design mistakes... which are after 3 years replaced by a new product.
Still I learned, that someone should not buy products from such companies, before the wanted version is really released - as this might never happen.
I - personally - would really be disappointed if I would have bought the product because the "buy now, get next version for free" ad suggest a close release.
I m curious what js4 will bring and probably buy it than, when it's done and if I am not too stupid to use it. Since than, I have my working solution and checking others from time to time...

Never buy "vaporware". If the current available product (any one) doesn't correspond to your need then find something else.
AFAIK, Rayzoon is just few people and the monumental task to bring a Delphi-Windows-only software to MacOSX was a huge steep project.
I presume it will be ready when it's ready...

I bought it during the buy now, get next version for free. Not upset, but I am surprised that it must be a ways out if Ralph still has a fluid state of features that he does not want to commit to...especially over half a year after the promo.drum_noob wrote: I - personally - would really be disappointed if I would have bought the product because the "buy now, get next version for free" ad suggest a close release.
.
Hopefully there is some confirmation that the buy it now, next version free promo will not be forgotten when it comes to release time.

hope it come soon, is there now clear that layer of sound is in the 4.0 plan and some new kick drums /snare drums are add in 4.0 ? and btw i can guess and understand wy it have such a long delay. I see screenshots of jamstix 2 ,jamstix 1. they are all complete diffrent in GUI. this cost additional time. But is it really better do every new version a new gui, i am not sure. not many developers do change GUI lots. because users have learn the old features new and maybe are too lazy to begin from new.
the best program is the program you know how it works
. but anyway lets see how the GUI and features look in 4.0 maybe i say. really after learn, much old funtion can do faster
