beta 12

- in the bar editor, the dropdown makes you click to go to submenus - not a great idea

- after going to a submenu, going to "GO BACK TO BAR MENU" just exits the menu altogether

speaking about dropdown menus: the mouse pointer jumps from arrow to hand icon with every movement and the dropdown menus act reeeeaally slow 3.60beta12 x64 vst reaperx64

and what's going on with that GUI thing, opens up with black screen delay, ok better than version 3.5 where audio dropouts occured when closing the GUI but, not to be rude, is it really so hard to get a user interface done that works like in all other plugins, without delay and so much impact on the processing of the plugin?

Hey Ralph...I like 3.6 so far....everything working here....

...but, what happened to the "import midi" in the bar editor? The whole format has changed...i have to search for the clips all the time and i cant review them?! Did you leave that out on purpose or are you going to bring it back...its impossible to work with in this format...

...or am i missing something?

If you mean 'Import Fill', click FILL button and then it shows in the bar menu.

Not sure I understand. What are we talking about exactly?

Here's a good one for you Ralph. I just installed beta 12 and I noticed where it shows the version and license info it showed 3.60 beta 12 (OSX-32). It was playing a song and crashed with an access violation. I uninstalled and reinstalled and now it shows 3.60 beta 12 (x32) which is correct for this install. I sent the rzdlog file if you want to look at it but all looks OK since re-installation.

Ralph [RZ] wrote: Cubase users, please report how the new GUI works in Stay-On-Top mode.

Hello! Installed the latest beta version (beta 12). Very pleased with the normal operation of the interface in Cubase 7.5. The program also began to work more consistently (version x64), Feels decreased response time loaded instruments. Slightly hampered screen running sound server , it would be nice that when you run the program , it automatically minimizes to tray .
Generally , we note the responsiveness of the development team and a willingness to help. Thank you , thank you personally Ralph . Clearly the program progresses. I look forward to the bass module , if it is the same quality as JS, will be one of the first buyers happy .

Hey Ralph, pls forgive me for my mini rant! I should have checked that out! I guess i was missing something!

Man alive, there is "a lot under the hood" in this one! I guess the manual just got a lot bigger! The "change sound" works brilliantly...no more tabs jumping screens. No crashes reported on my side!

Jamstix just got a whole lot better!! :D

For all of the users bothered by the Plugin Server window you might consider looking at 4t Tray Minimizer Free by Niagara Software. I've used it on my DAWs for a few years now and it really makes all the various windows much more manageable. It does not work well in Win 8 but they are looking into the problem I was told in an e-mail the other day. It is Windows only also.

Using Cubase 6.5.5 with two monitors. Everything appears to be working nicely with regards to "Always on Top" mode. Very pleased!. I will report back if I notice any other issues.

I can confirm this, but only in the Bar Editor menu. It works as expected in the Song Builder, Song, and Kit/Mixer sections.

While this is "different", I have no particular problem with it so far (maybe time will tell). An extra click instead of a pause and I no longer need to be careful about the vertical placement of the pointer as I navigate left and right through the submenus. So, it does have some positive aspects... I would like to mention that the issue of the drop down menus being displaced when using two monitors does not happen anymore! (described in the following link...)

I tested the Click-Drag-Drop MIDI Song to the Cubase project display and it worked very nicely! This is huge! Did it work like that before and I just never noticed it? My only comment is that the "icon" is just a little white outline. I had no idea what it was until I read the tool tip. If that was there before, that is surely why I never knew.

Everything seems pretty solid so far...

Off to work now! :D
