yeah wow, I had to click on the jamstix window first I guess, worked even with dopp fxlist open.
This script is VERY helpful.
as some suggestions, I wonder if we could:
- color regions same as jamstix
- take out extraneous characters [2] [1] etc
maybe some other refinements.
as it is, this helps a shit ton!

I don't know why the focus is being stolen now but that didn't happen until sometime after I wrote the script. Actually you can just click anywhere in the Reaper window to get the script working again. Something changed with Reaper I guess but I have no idea what. It even worked fine when I was still using Dopp's script.
The Region colors I don't think could be made to match JS because JS picks it's colors based upon what song part type is linked first and Reaper is using the SWS list which is static.
The regions are going to get named whatever they are called in JS. I'm sure the script wizards over on the Reaper forum would laugh at how easy that would be to do but I'm not a scripter. If you want to mod it or ask someone to do it for you, feel free.

Hey Jae,one other thing, can it just remember where jamstix.mid is and load it? i had to navigate there after importing a video into reaper
I updated the code so it looks for the jamstix.mid file in the right place now. I edited the code in the first post. The File Explorer window no longer opens to locate the jamstix.mid file.

I'm really surprised that as powerful and useful the scripting aspect of Reaper is that the function descriptions are so cryptic, at least in my opinion. I really think it makes a lot of users avoid it.

I really do need to get off my ass and learn stuff, but I am just trying to focus on my "album"
but I truly appreciate your work. It helps with organization a ton.

Another small update, was creating unneeded tracks and not deleting them afterwards. Can't wait to hear your album when it's done Jae.
