All fixed here. I saw the "Repair all" button in the manager and hit it. Seemed like all the program files re-installed. Loaded it up and all appears to be good now.
Thanks much for your quick response and efforts. Really appreciated. I will also add that Rayzoon support was in my email this morning also helping out. Great to have the helping hands.

OK, same problem with same project. JS4 goes silent after the intro. I tried the "repair all" and this time no help. I am afraid even my patience has run out. Its not that this is costing me any money, but the frustration of having to stop the creative process to address this again is more than I can take. Back to EZDrummer2 for me. Obviously not my first choice. But JS (with Reaper) and me are not getting along these days.
I use Reaper exclusively and have never experienced such behavior. Is there any chance you are unintentionally sending a controller message to mute the drum kit? I understand your frustration, believe me.
Just to close the loop. I deleted the entire track from Reaper, reinserted JS on a new track again and rebuilt the bars and groove and the tracked played properly but any editing I had done on the kit or bars were of course gone. In the meantime I worked with EZDrummer, but as in the past, quickly got frustrated searching for the right grooves.
So I will try JS v4 one more time on the project. If it goes south on me again then .... well lets just see what happens.
If you are losing the audio out from Jamstix maybe you could try recording the midi to your Reaper track instead since playback doesn't stop. Then play it back via Midi Playback mode in Jamstix? Just an idea.
