Jamstix 3 RC1 - Now Available

Post by Ralph @ Rayzoon »

It's crunch time here so that's what's keeping me super-busy. The stock kit issues have been overcome and we're finishing that area up now. After that, we still need to finalize styles and drummers and package for release.

Does that mean no further beta planned?

Thanks,

Very nice!

I have one little bug to report.

I experienced a brief layering problem with the kit view. whenever the kick was supposed to light up the transparency appeared as a square over the toms. I have a screenshot if that helps.

It was using the intimate XL kit.
Reloading the kit fixed it.

By the way, the kit view seems a lot cleaner than before, did you rework the visuals? it might just be me, but it looks nice :)

When you click on a kit element in Beta 15, it will come to the foreground. This solves the problem of elements being partially hidden when you want to click to audit them across the whole velocity spectrum.

It will then continue to jump forward when hit as JS plays. If you click into the black background around the kit, it will stop doing that and go back to normal mode.

Hi Ralph,
I installed A15 but my jamstix still shows A14 (the downloaded exe file says A15)

I noticed the same and found out that the installer didn't put the new jamstix3.dll in the vstplugins folder. I copied the one from C:\Program Files\jamstix3beta to solve this.

Having mixed results with this. Sometimes they don't go back to background when I click the black area

Seems pretty random. It can be just one piece that gets stuck, or every one I click from that point on. :o
