It does buy while in preview mode, the host doesn't play.
What I do in Sonar is set up a playback loop for however many bars I need. I find preview mode to be really limiting because it's only one bar, and I may have a groove in mind that spans out over 2-3-4 bars ect. If you set it up this way, you get your click track & more flexibility.
There are definitely different and perhaps better ways to do this. I just like options :) (but not at the expense of too much dev time of course.)

Ralph [RZ] wrote:Try this: load a Steven Slate Drums kit that comes with JS. It will try to load Kontakt so point it to your Kontakt 4 DLL. Now load a kit in Kontakt and then click the drums in the JS3 virtual kit to make sure they trigger the right sounds in Kontakt. If not, adjust the MIDI key in JS3. When finished, save it as a new kit.
Should I have Steven Slate Drums?

I cant find them throght JM3

Sorry I cant decipher this myself!

Hi Ralph.

I know you've plenty on your plate but I thought I'd run a quick question by you.

Have you come across Ocean Way Drums or Drum Masters from Sonic Reality? I was just wondering if they're popular enough for you to consider a custom kit\map for them at some stage.

Loving the beta by the way.

Thanks.

Testing with Reaper and Slate Drums 3.5, no problems so far. And you fixed the save issue with Reaper, yay! Great work, looking forward to the final build :D

Now that I've submitted a bug, do I have permission to beg you to take pre-orders and remove the demo restrictions?

In any case...

Jamstix 3 is really freaking nice. I wasn't even planning on upgrading, but the workflow enhancements alone are irresistible.

Putting the dark on black colour scheme aside, I really like the song building wizard thing - it saves the chore of typing that all in; one part after another.

C= chorus V= verse etc. Can we use up some more letters of the alphabet in later JS3 versions?

J= just jazzily tap the cymbals during a breakdown please.
H= just keep the hats going during a breakdown.
Z= go craZy

etc.....

"we ask that you refrain from discussing the Beta with others to avoid confusion/misunderstandings in the general public"

So I guess this part no longer applys? Or maybe this didnt mean what I thought it did? From the looks of things we can now discuss the current beta here? :?:

The reason I ask is because I have a few questions and comments too, but wanted to clear this up 1st before discussing them on the forums. :)

I was wrong to discuss the beta here. Won't happen again. I just really wnat this to work on my new 64 bit PC and am anxious that it won't.

Sorry...
