Jamstix & REAPER
In kit only peripheral instruments such as sticks are audible. No cymbals or drums are audible and they say "output to midi only"

Jamstix & REAPER
I got all of the instruments working by right clicking on it and Changing Sound.
Jamstix & REAPER
I have jamstix with reaper 5.x and win 10 64 working in downmix mode mostly and when downmix mode is switch off, then route in reaper need set to 16 channels(when stereo is on i guess). this is important. if set to other then only 4 channels hide some channels work. that it work can see in track level display. when i set channels to 32 in reaper route, then jamstix only output 4 channels
problem in jamstix is only that there come sometimes float divison by zero messages. But after press ok it continue. this message come always when in options option stereo output is click. it is not possible for me to disable stereo. but i guess when you disable stereo, you need set in reaper route 8 tracks.
i have set font size to 125% was in win 7. win 10 keep. reaper look little blur and jamstix too. but its not jamstix problem. i test studio one pro, and in this jamstix is sharp. seem only reaper problem.
i hope jamstix 4 come soon, i like layer jamstix drums inside jamstix.

Jamstix & REAPER
Probably a really dumb question:
(bear in mind I'm new to both, and computer recording in general, so...) Is there a way to record Jamstix audio to Reaper? All 8 tracks routed (set in Jamstix and tracks set up for each in Reaper), all armed to record, each track showing the signal of it's respective drum, I press record and... it plays just fine, but the sound files created are just silence.
Guessing there's an obvious answer to that (so obvious the user guide doesn't see fit to mention it...). Thanks.

Easiest: on the tracks where the audio is playing, right click the record arm button, select "record output".

This template I made doesn't give all 8 outs but should get you started,
https://app.box.com/s/nsp1rprvdchhvykz1hh4de4p81j8xuo5
Don't change the Drum kit by loading a new one, change the individual kit parts and save that as your own.
Track1: Jamstix volume lowered for sends.
Track2:Kick
Track3:Snare
Track4:Toms
Track5:Cymbals
You can still pan the individual kit parts within Jamstix.I've left ReEQ on the tracks used as a High Pass/Low pass filter. This stops any low or high frequencies being recorded that you and me may not hear but still take up bit data.

Thank you! I was pulling my hair out for an hour trying to figure this out, and then downloading the zip, extracting, loading, and clicking "Record: output" took me all of 2 minutes with help from both of you. Thank you both so much!Sheppol_A wrote:This template I made doesn't give all 8 outs but should get you started...
Jamstix & REAPER
Hi guys,
sorry to bother you but I am somehow unable to get jamstix running after a reinstallation of windows 7 x64.
Newest version of reaper and jamstix installed to D:\jamstix3.
So in Reaper I go to options -> preferences -> plugins -> vst, enter the path "D:\jamstix3" and klick re-scan or clear cache/rescan -> apply.
On a new track I click fx and see tons of plugins (is that usual after new installation?) but when I click on VSTi I only find "ReaSampl[...]", ReaSynDr and ReaSynth. Going to VST I find some "Cockos"-Plugins.
What do I do wrong? God I feel so stupid right now...
