Jamstix & Tracktion

Now - I'd like to store what Jamstix outputs, time aligned with the rest of my project's tracks.

I'd like to know how to do this both with MIDI output from Jamstix, as well as audio output from Jamstix.
Would be very interested in knowing how to do this also.

I just got Tracktion 3 Ultimate Bundle, and while the included, cut down version of Drumcore is servicable, Jamstix has had my interest for quite a while.

Am getting closer to making a decision to either upgrade to full Drumcore or go with Jamstix. Being able to do this would seal the deal for Jamstix.

Jamstix is definitely my preference ;)

You could drag the SONG label from Jamstix onto a Tracktion track to get the MIDI data.

So you assign Jamstix as a filter for an audio track to get the audio, and then drag the SONG label from Jamstix onto a another (empty) track to get the midi data? Would this record all the midi data in all circumstances, including jamming?

You must play the song through from start to finish to get a full MIDI buffer that can be dragged.

Some hosts allow real-time MIDI output recording, which would work even during jamming. I'm not sure whether Tracktion supports this.

Can't get JS 2 to recognize audio M8 to jam with it.

Details:
Win7 64 bit
Tracktion 3 run as administrator (Tracktion 3 is a 32 bit host I believe)
Jamstix build 2.5.3

Any advice? I'm trying to do a rock 6/8 song and jam with either MIDI or audio, Midi shows the jam indicator working, but no jam is occurring, audio shows nothing.

Added audio M8 after loading Jamstix, directly behind a VSTi that is outputing audio.

Is the audioM8 needle moving? Is the red AUDIO-IN LED in JS lighting up?

AudioM8 needle moves. Redlight in Jamstix does not light. I've tried both orders of adding the plugins to tracks. Jamstix on first track then audio m8 on 2nd, and then audiom8 added first, Jamstix added 2nd to the project.

Also, on Jam with Midi - the 'knob' moves but it doesn't seem to register with the jamming brain.

Setup is Tracktion 3 running under administrator control in Win7 64 bit.
