<t>Out of the blue, my Jamstix in Reaper won't let me add, move or remove a part. It freezes if I try - Reaper doesn't freeze. In fact Jamstix even plays while "frozen" I just can't adjust anything at that point (or move the window).<br/>
<br/>
Anyone have any ideas? <br/>

I believe the way things work is as you add elements from other drummers and styles the order in which you load them gives precedent to the element. So a hihat pattern followed by toms will have the hihat "overriding" the toms with the toms sneaking in when they can. What would ...

Volume automation
<t>Interesting. Listening to hit songs with what you said in mind, I can hear what you are saying. It more a trick of the ear with parts dropping in and out and "density" of playing that creates the dynamics more than volume. And not just the drums.<br/>

<t>In Global actions you have "enable start crash".<br/>
<br/>
What would be useful is to be able to enable and disable start crash, end crash, supress groove, and no shuffling globally. It is tedious to have to go into the menu in each part and change these.<br/>

<t>BTW This is an incredible product.<br/>
<br/>
I am just starting to use a volume envelope in Reaper. I'm not a drummer but I realize drummers don't play at the exact same volume throughout a song. And don't play all drums equally during dynamic changes.<br/>

sloppy drummer feel
<r>I mainly record folk and rock. I try to get a "live" jam feel when i record. Having really 'tight" drums makes the whole thing feel a little mechanical and weakens the illusion. One of the reasons i love jamstix is the brain improvising fills etc. but I really don't have a good sense of using the ...

Thanks that cleared it up perfectly. Weird labeling and layout but powerful and easy to use.

Classic Kick/Snare question
<r>I just did this add-in and I like it a lot, except, I don't quite get it. Four slots with four options heavy/synco/neutral/synco...and sliders! By fiddling aropund I can get what i want (cause I only do simple things) but I don't know why and choosing synco doesn't seem to do anything. I'm sure ...

Confused: Stereo width question
<t>I am using a single channel to Reaper with JS panned center. I am using the pan and vol controls in the JS kit screen to create my mix. <br/>

The question: If I have my drums panned from 40% left (20% of the stereo width) to 40% right (20% of the stero width), that means I have a total ...
