Me too

I was just playing around, seeing what does what.

Increasing the Read Buffer to 32k for LoD consistantly locks up Jamstix at the third drumstick hit in the intro (using the default wizard settings).

Changing the Pre-Buffer is okay.

(What is the difference between the two buffers?)

As your log files consistantly show Beta 8, you probably have a version tht you have inadvertanlt installed elsewhere that your sequencer is picking up instead of Beta 14. If you do the above file ...
